National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Danbury is participating!
Throughout the month, concerned citizens and organizations like Families Network will host public awareness events and educational activities focused on drawing attention to the urgent need to stop child abuse before it starts.
Be on the lookout for "Pinwheels for Prevention", the signature campaign of Prevent Child Abuse America. Why pinwheels? Pinwheels are a happy and uplifting symbol of the bright future all children deserve.
Danbury's pinwheels are the centerpiece of the ever-growing movement committed to stopping child abuse before it starts.
To further raise awareness, pinwheels will be on display at Families Network's annual event, the Dr. Robert C. and Nancy Joy Luncheon on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 11:30am - 2:00pm at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center. Join us and learn of the successes and challenges in ending child abuse and maltreatment.
For ticket, sponsorship and in-kind donation information, contact Families Network at 203.-791-8773 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you there!
